| History |
|
The venue was opened in 1990 as The World Music Theatre. Over the next 16 years, the venue would go through two more name changes- The New World Music Theatre and the Tweeter Center. In March of 2006 the venue was given its current name, First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. While the venue has undergone changes since Cher opened the venue in 1990, one thing has always remained the same. The summers at the venue are always filled with great entertainment! Live Nation owns and operates the venue and continues to set the standard for live entertainment at FMBA and across the globe. With an emphasis on the fans and the whole live entertainment package, the venue continues to host tens of thousands of guests every summer. |
